VALENTINE SPECIAL ❥ Most romantic hotspots in Paris
In this blogpost we will be talking about the most romantic hotspots in the city of love; Paris, to go there with your beloved one for Valentine’s Day or any other romantic weekend that you might have planned.
If you go there, you should definitely include these hotspots in your itinerary for your weekend to Paris if you want to be having the most romantic getaway.
Hotspot 1: Montmartre
To kick off your weekend in Paris, we suggest you go to one of the most romantic neighbourhoods in the city of love, namely Montmartre.
Visit the Sacre Coeur and the Place du Tetre and get lost in all the little streets surrounding these hotspots.
Hotspot 2: Le Mur des Je T’aime
After your walk around Montmartre, you can have a romantic picture of the two of you in front of Le Mur des Je T’aime.
The wall shows 311 times I love you in 250 different languages and dialects from all over the world, how cool is that?
Hotspot 3: Eiffel Tower
You can’t go to Paris without going to see the Eiffel Tower. You can go on it and have a look-out over the city but you can also go to Place du Trocadero to have a better view of the tower itself and take cooler pictures with the tower in the background.
If the weather is sunny and the Seine did not flood his banks, you can have a walk along the river with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
Hotspot 4: Opera
If you don’t want to disappoint your boyfriend because he has to take pictures and has to go on shopping sprees with you all the time, you can propose to do a cultural visit, like going to the Opera.
It shows a glimpse of how it must have been living in Paris in the old ages.
Hotspot 5: Your Hotel
An important detail of your weekend to Paris is obviously your hotel as you will also be spending some time here.
So make sure you choose a cozy and romantic hotel in a cool neighbourhood, like Le Marais.
Hotspot 6: Galeries Lafayette
Paris is one of the best places in the world to be shopping and Galeries Lafayette is the best place with both expensive and less expensive brands.
Besides all the shopping you will do there, you must also go on the rooftop because it gives you the best skyline view over Paris ever.
Hotspot 7: Le Marais
Our favourite neighbourhood in Paris is obviously Le Marais. It’s very cozy, you can drink and eat something on every corner of every street and it’s the best place to get lost and never be found.
Don’t forget to visit Place Des Vosges! This is the place with the most expensive rent in Paris, and if you see it, you will get why…
Hotspot 8: The Restaurants
You have loads of different bars and restaurants in Paris but they aren’t all that trustworthy so we have a suggestion for every meal of the day so you have your weekend all planned out for you.
⇒ For Breaktfast: Café Charlot
There’s a good chance that you have breakfast in your hotel but we would suggest that you skip that and go somewhere else.
The best place for a typical French breakfast, not too expensive, including coffee or a hot chocolate, fresh orange juice, croissants, french baguette and eggs, is Café Charlot. It also gives the perfect example of the coziness and warmth that a typical Parisian restaurant has.
⇒ For Lunch: Café Méricourt
A fancy and very instagrammable place for lunch is Café Méricourt and it’s quite delicious as well, so it’s a win-win!
⇒ It’s 5 O’Clock somewhere: La Favorite
Coolest place to have an apéro is La Favorite. It’s so cosy. The outside terrace is the coolest place to hang but beware, it’s always packed.
The brasserie kitchen is very good as well!
⇒ For dinner: Pink Mamma
If you have ever been to Paris or have friends who have already been there, you might have already heard about Ober Mamma, East Mamma, Pink Mamma and Pizzeria Popolare.
They are all Italian restaurants with a cool and romantic atmosphere. The locations are all just amazing and the food is even more so. Although you are in Paris, it makes you feel like you’re having dinner in Italy.
It’s publicly known that the food is so good so make sure you are on time because you can’t make a reservation.
What should you be wearing?
While having an awesome and romantic weekend in Paris with your loved one, you obviously need some great outfits to make the weekend even more complete.
We would suggest a cosy and warm cardigan during the day to snuggle in up when it just gets too cold and your boyfriend doesn’t keep you warm enough and a long flower dress for a romantic night out.
